Partners

TrellisWare’s AID and PSP are highly scalable processes that continue to increase performance when more processing resources are available.

A strategic partner of TrellisWare, Altera provides the low-cost, low-power FPGAs that are crucial to many of TrellisWare’s IP and Radio Systems product lines. TrellisWare is sizing its most powerful waveforms to fit on Altera’s newest Cyclone III low-power FPGAs and utilizes Altera’s hardcopy structured-ASIC products to provide low risk ASIC products for low-medium volume applications. TrellisWare continues to work with Altera to help shape the next generation FPGA products and tools that will enable more cutting-edge communication solutions.
TrellisWare and Xilinx have been partners since the founding of TrellisWare in early 2000s when TrellisWare designed and built the Aspect Board, which hosted four (4) of the Xilinx’s largest FPGA parts to demonstrate some of TrellisWare’s most advanced processing. The Aspect Board has been featured in several Xilinx publications, and allowed TrellisWare to prototype and productize its IP in a very short period of time. TrellisWare still relies on Xilinx to innovate its Programmable Logic Devices to provide platforms for TrellisWare’s next generation products. Xilinx FPGA products are used throughout the software defined radio and high speed communication markets and TrellisWare has sized both its modern error correction codes and waveforms to fit on a variety of Xilinx FPGAs.

Arkados

Arkados provides HomePlug power line communications solutions that revolutionize communications, computing, and entertainment delivery within the home. For its ArkTIC family of HomePlug chips, Arkados chose TrellisWare’s HomePlug AV Turbo Convolutional Code (TCC). Among the deciding factors for Arkados were TrellisWare’s higher performance and smaller size, and specifically, TrellisWare’s willingness to modify its off-the-shelf core to meet Arkados requirements to help differentiate Arkados’ products from those of its competitors.

A T and T

Cingular (AT&T) Wireless, the largest wireless services provider in the United States, partnered with TrellisWare in 2002 to undertake a feasibility analysis for Single Antenna Interference Cancellation (SAIC) in GSM systems. TrellisWare’s software-based SAIC product was used by Cingular to determine performance benchmarks for GSM industry standards. Cingular chose TrellisWare as a testing benchmark because TrellisWare’s SAIC solution significantly outperformed competing SAIC products.

Conexant

Conexant is a worldwide leader in semiconductor solutions for broadband communications for the digital home. For its HomePlug AV chipset solutions, Conexant chose TrellisWare’s HomePlug AV Turbo Convolutional Code (TCC) driven by the higher performance and smaller size of TrellisWare’s TCC core. The higher performance translates into better connectivity and the smaller size into lower cost for Conexant’s HomePlug chipsets.

General Dynamics

General Dynamics is a market leader in aviation, combat vehicles, shipbuilding, and communications. General Dynamics C4 Systems is leading the Joint Tactical Radio System HMS Team to bring miniaturized software defined radio technology into small devices such as unattended ground sensors and soldier systems that can overcome size, weight and power constraints. GD selected TrellisWare to integrate the FPGA portion of the JTRS Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) onto the HMS platform.

Harris

Harris is an international communications and information technology company serving government and commercial markets in more than 150 countries. For its support of a key program, Harris has chosen TrellisWare’s F-LDPC Forward Error Correction product for its flexibility and ability to accommodate continuous system design changes. The many modes in TrellisWare’s technology allow Harris to continue on its development without any schedule or performance impacts in accommodating new modes or system architecture changes.

InPhase

Developing the next generation in data storage, InPhase Technologies is an undisputed leader in holographic storage. InPhase products store millions of pages of information on a disk that fits in the palm of one’s hand. As a key provider of technology to InPhase, TrellisWare supplies its F-LDPC Forward Error Correction product to InPhase, allowing InPhase to significantly reduce the logic gates required to increase disk read/write time performance at the lowest possible cost.

ITT

ITT, a world leader in wireless networking systems for tactical military and government systems, is at the heart of advanced communication systems. During the development of its latest network centric products ITT selected TrellisWare to integrate its AID-based receiver processing into its newest, most popular, robust, power-efficient waveform. Performance of this new capability has proven so effective that ITT’s customers have sponsored additional variants to expand this applicability to a wider range of missions.

L3 Communications

L-3 Communications is a prime contractor in Command, Control and Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C3ISR), Government Services, Aircraft Modernization and Maintenance (AM&M). For a key contract, L-3 chose TrellisWare’s F-LDPC Forward Error Correction technology due to its superior performance, and it s ability to accommodate current and future changes in system architecture.

Northrop Grumman

Northrop Grumman Corporation is a global defense and technology company that provides innovative systems, products, and solutions in information and services, electronics, aerospace and shipbuilding to government and commercial customers worldwide. Over the years, Northrop Grumman has relied on TrellisWare for its products and expertise in Forward Error Correction and waveform design, including SRW implementations. TrellisWare’s leadership in these areas, outstanding working relationship and the high quality performance of its products has served to strengthen the relationship between the two companies.

Radix Technologies

Radix Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Argon, ST, develops and delivers state-of-the-art signal reconnaissance, communications, navigation, and signal processing solutions for government and commercial customers. TrellisWare has supported Radix on very advanced situational awareness algorithm development and testing in high clutter ground urban environments as well as co-channel interference mitigation applications.

Raytheon

Raytheon, a world-leading developer of advanced communication solutions for military applications has been working with TrellisWare for years on implementing advanced forward error correction and waveform designs for Raytheon’s communication products including data link and sensor network hardware platforms that operate in unusually harsh operational environments.

SAIC

SAIC is a leading systems, solutions and technical services company. For a key government communications project, SAIC chose TrellisWare’s F-LDPC product for its Forward Error Correction needs. Superior performance was the deciding factor in SAIC’s selection of TrellisWare’s F-LDPC product since this project demands extracting the maximum signal quality performance at every level of system architecture design.

SRC Scientific Research Corporation

Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) is an advanced engineering company that was founded in 1988 to provide innovative solutions to the U.S. Government, private industry, and international markets. For several of its key waveform solutions SRC chose TrellisWare’s F-LDPC technology for its ability to support many modes with superior performance in each.

ViaSat

As a spin-off from ViaSat, TrellisWare has from its beginning enjoyed a close working relationship across several of ViaSat’s product lines. From advanced Forward Error Correction customization on the Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modem (EBEM) to the fabrication of the Flexicode ASIC hosting a version of TrellisWare’s FEC to waveform throughput enhancements on the MIDS Link-16 terminal to development of advance mobile mesh communication product design and integration, TrellisWare supports ViaSat across a wide range of communication product initiatives.
