TrellisWare offers an array of standardized and customized receiver products that meet demanding requirements with unequaled results – from co-channel mitigation to interference cancellation to complete waveforms.  Specializing in creating receiver solutions that work where nothing else does, and minimizing implementation complexity, TrellisWare offers custom receiver code as FPGA cores, ASICs and/or software and will integrate onto customer platforms to ensure maximum performance.

Better Processing Tools

TrellisWare has developed a set of technology tools that includes methods for efficiently implementing AID, PSP, co-channel mitigation, different types of turbo coding, and advanced equalizers into standards-based and custom receiver architectures. Whether designed to a custom set of customer specifications or improving performance within a standard, TrellisWare’s technology and innovative implementations deliver unsurpassed performance at minimal size, weight, power dissipation and cost. 

Software Defined Radio (SDR) Waveforms

TrellisWare is the inventor and implementer of the baseband processing for the Combat Communications (CC) mode of the government’s Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) receiver. SRW is a ground-based waveform that performs in perhaps the most demanding of the government’s Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) missions. TrellisWare has also developed numerous custom designs for extremely high throughput communications receivers, reception in extremely harsh environments, and Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) products.

Co-Channel Interference (CCI) Mitigation

TrellisWare is a pioneer and a performance-leader in CCI mitigation technology, with approaches that work with a single antenna as well as multi-antenna techniques.  TrellisWare’s Single Antenna Interference Cancellation (SAIC) SAIC product for GSM suppliers, available to be incorporated into customers’ GSM receiver platforms as either software or hardware, is just one example.  Commercially, TrellisWare was instrumental in establishing the SAIC processing cellular standard as well as offering higher performance solutions for GSM and EDGE. TrellisWare also offers multi-antenna CCI mitigation products that can operate in dense multipath environments that cause traditional beamforming or null steering solutions to fail.

Receiver Enhancements and Modems

In the commercial markets, TrellisWare has developed designs for high speed FEC and full baseband modems for the microwave and E-Band communication markets. Our custom commercial receiver work includes designs for extremely harsh environments, 100’s Mbps to Gbps modems for E-band and microwave radios, OFDM, and MIMO products.

In the government standards market, TrellisWare has enhanced a number of complex military communications receivers, including MIDS, SRW, HCDR, and other Software Defined Radio (SDR) implementations to provide greater throughput, improved interference mitigation, and more efficient implementation.
